1819 John Quincy Adams Signed Handwritten Letter

The sixth U.S. President penned this framed letter to a lawyer named Daniel P. Cook on June 21, 1819. John Quincy Adams was serving as Secretary of State at the time and both his writing and signature in ink rate 7.5/10. The content centers on a visit by a foreigner named Ferdinand Ernst, who was interested in settling in the Western United States and was planning on visiting the Illinois town of Kaskaskia. The letter has typical mailing folds and slight discoloration in spots.
