1870 Streets of Cincinnati Albumen Photograph (10.5x15”)
This is a magnificent image of the “Destruction of the Fifth Street Market House (Fountain Square).” According to pencil on the verso, this was torn down the day before this was taken on Friday, February 4, 1870. This photograph was “Made Approx. 11am Feb. 5, 1870.” The brilliant image is mounted on board and is an unusually large 10.5x15”. It shows great contrast and is overall in excellent condition.
