1930's-40's Autograph Books with Babe Ruth
We all wish our fathers and grandfathers had left behind autograph books like these. The older of the two seems to have been a Christmas gift to a young boy in 1931, who proceeded to amass an impressive collection of pencil signatures from such stars as Hack Wilson, Paul and Dizzy Dean, Babe Ruth (on a page alone) and Mel Ott (2). Well over 100 Major Leaguers' signatures. Young lady's autograph book is lighter in quantity (about fifty-plus) but has Willard Hershberger and Mel Ott in NRMT pen.
