1930 Wilson Golf Diecut Cardboard Advertising Displays (2)

1930 Wilson Golf Diecut Cardboard Advertising Displays (2)

A pair of splashy Wilson ads touting its 1930 clubs reaches far and wide on the mainstream fairway. Displays aimed at men and women on the links contrast colorful cartoons of Victorian golfing with black and white photos of sleek modernity: pros using Wilson clubs. But the marketing goals contrast sharply in the message of the NRMT 21- by 14-inch stand-ups. The top of the ladies' ad reads: "An individual line of carefully considered weight, length and balance." The men's says: "Combines the finest traditions of golf with the latest developments of the game." Sharp Deco bar design of Wilson locations runs along the bottom of the pair. Part of the platform is detached from the women's ad but both presentations are near-flawless.
