1947 Jim Hendy Typed Signed Letter

1947 Jim Hendy Typed Signed Letter

Jim Hendy is a very important part of hockey history. He was a writer who is credited with being the source of origin for the keeping of stats in hockey since the 1930's. For all of his accomplishments, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1968. He published the first edition of The Hockey Guide in 1933, and continued to produce it annually until 1951, when competing pressure from his other hockey jobs forced him to stop. Letter speaks glowingly of the expanding future of hockey throughout the United States. At the time of its writing he was the NY Rangers Secretary. One tiny tear (not on text), and two folds. Otherwise, NRMT.
