1960 Frank Howard Rookie of the Year Jersey
From the beginning Hondo made his enormous presence felt through out the league posting a batting average of .268 with 23 HR and 77 RBI’s. Those numbers not only caught the attention of opposing pitchers they were also impressive enough to win him NL Rookie of the Year honors quite handily. This enormous cream-colored flannel home jersey hung from the hulking shoulders of his 6’8”, 275-pound frame during the season of 1960. “Dodgers” stretches across the chest in blue felt above his red felt number “25”. On the reverse his “25” appears again in blue underlined by his large sharpie signature. The tail is tagged “Rawlings” [size] “50” with “Howard 60” chain-stitched in blue. The gamer displays strong use all around, especially evident in the collar, and has one small stain (.75”) three spot stains on the placket .
