1965 Topps Joe Namath (2) SGC 80 w/ Butterfly Variation
Joe Namath is best remembered for backing up his "guarantee" of victory by engineering the stunning 16-7 upset of the Colts in Super Bowl III. Hopefully Pennington can do the same! Broadway Joe is represented here with two SGC 80 EX-MT examples of his 1965 Topps rookie card. The cards are difficult to find, as they were short-printed. Included in this pair is the scarce “butterfly” variation (which is notated on the holder). A nice looking pair of mid-grade Namath rookies.
