Quaint baseball advertising broadside featuring Hall of Famer Max Carey and the Pittsburgh Pirates. A Sunday afternoon game between the "Pittsburgh National League Club vs. the Johnstown Independents" was scheduled at 3:30 at Ideal Park in Johnstown, PA. A picture of "Fleet Footed" Max Carey in full uniform while kneeling and holidng a bat is in the upper left hand corner. Hall of Famers Max Carey, Kiki Cuyler and Rabbit Maranville are also mentioned. The broadside also promotes a game with the "St. Louis Colored Giants" the following Saturday. There is some discoloration and a few fold marks but this piece is handsomely presented in a black frame measuring approximately 20 1/2" X 24". Overall condition is EX+.
