Rare 1939 Baseball Centennial Hall of Fame Mini Bat with Pennant
Baseball's centennial was celebrated in 1939. Here is a rare and well preserved artifact from that celebration. It is a "Junior" mini bat (20") affixed with a commemorative baseball 3 cent postage stamp and with a Cooperstown 1939 postmark. Tied to the handle is a mini pennant (8") in soft blue felt with red contrasting felt. The piece is in strong EX condition with two small spots of what appear to be price tag adhesive in the handle. Great baseball collectible.
