Showman Billy Rose Wire Photographs (58)
Fascinating collection of (58) wire photos reporting on showman Billy Rose. The millionaire seemed always to be looking for love in all the wrong places. His five marriages are well covered here in photos dating as far back as the 1930's and culminating in his death in 1966. Many of the images cover his 1951 separation and divorce from swimming star Eleanor Holm, an odd 1950 jewel theft in which the criminal turned himself in to Rose, his two marriages to Milton Berle's Ex Joyce Matthews, 1956 fire at Rose's mansion, and more. Photographs measure 6.5 x 8.5" to 8 x 12" and range in condition from VG to Mint.
