Precious collection of eleven scorecards, dating from the late 19th century: 1. Tradecard scorecards (4), each with colorful baseball scene on the cover. Note the batter's dated uniforms with no helmet. Phrases like "Low Ball", "Strike Two" and "Stern Chase" printed at the bottom. All but one is scored in pencil. One for Brooklyn vs. Reading has pencil writing on the cover, dating it to 1883. VG-EX. 2. Herrick Copley Square, Boston, MA programs & scorecards (2) for the Boston American League baseball club. One is scored in pencil, the other unscored. 3. 1885 "The Champion" schedule and score record book (unscored). 4. 1885 Philadelphia Athletic Club vs. Yale. Scored in pencil. EX. 5. 1904 "World's Champions" A.L. Boston Baseball club. Scored in pencil. VG. 6. "Reach" scorecard, unscored. Advertises Reach baseball goods and printed with catch phrases like, "Play Ball" and "Over with the Cork Center". EX.
