Walter Johnson Photograph Used for 1914 B18 Blanket (PSA Type II)

Walter Johnson Photograph Used for 1914 B18 Blanket (PSA Type II)

Vintage photograph capturing Walter Johnson as a member of the Washington Senators, circa 1914. Johnson is pictured posing for the camera on the sideline prior to a game and the image was used for Johnson's 1914 B18 blanket. Johnson's full name was etched into the negative along the top border and as a result, his name appears in white lettering on the developed print. Four Brown Brothers credit stamps appear on the reverse, along with Johnson's name written in pencil. Although no date is listed, the uniform style shown here was only worn by the Senators between the years 1912 and 1915. The photo (4.25x6.5") displays a rough right border and a few small corner creases. In Very Good condition overall. Culled from the legendary Brown Brothers Photo Archive. PSA encapsulated as Type II Authentic.
