1909 Hal Chase Colgan's Chips Advertising Display (ex-Halper Sotheby's Auction)

One of the most sought after and attractive advertising pieces from the early 1900's, this E254 Colgan's Chips display advertises "The Gum that's round!" and features a seemingly Hall of Fame endorsement by Hal Chase. Unique triangle shaped display (26x32") was designed to fit in the corner of the window of candy stores, is brightly colored and boasts the unique round collectible card found in each tin of "Ten Chips." Highlighted by a young child enjoying the Violet or Mint flavored chip, this example is one of four different advertisements designed by the company.Sourcing from the Barry Halper Sotheby's Auction, this high grade example has only a few creases noticed and appears to present in a strong EX condition overall; frame has a few chips noticed on edges.
