1934 Pittsburgh Pirates Signed Baseball with LOA

On July 24, 1934 at the cavernous Baker Bowl in Philadelphia, the Phillies defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates 9-0. Bucs first baseman Gus Suhr hit a foul ball which is was signed by 13 members of the Pirates including Hall of Famers Arkie Vaughan, Waite Hoyt, Pie Traynor and coach Honus Wagner. The signatures are written in black ink and all rate at least an “8” out of a possible 10. “Cookie’ Lavagetto signed on the sweet spot. The ball is marked with the date and final score as well as the words, “Foul Ball By Suhr”. This lot comes with LOA.
