1940's Marihuana Poster (26 x 33.5")
Perhaps the best (meaning worst) anti-pot propaganda poster of the mid-'40s. Unwittingly hilarious poster actually makes the best case <i>for</i> the evil weed we've seen, reading at the bottom: "Weird orgies-Wild parties-Unleashed passions." But then, everywhere you look on the 26 x 34" poster there's a hoot, from the huge "Marihuana: Weed With Roots in Hell" in the center to the little reefers being placed by the devil's hand -- each with a one-word warning like "lust," "crime," "hate," and "shame" -- next to a half-naked young lady. At the top, a smarmy dude tries to turn on a busty lady. Mounted on linen with restoration ot EX-MT status.
