1953 Virgil "Spud" Davis Game Worn Jersey
Spud's final Big League uniform. His playing career began twenty-five years earlier, and ended as a coach for the 1953 Cubs. Silky soft road grey flannel has bold "Chicago" in blue across chest; number "47" on verso. "Wilson [size] 48" tagging in tail, with cleaning instructions tag just below. Black thread in tail is embroidered to read, "47-1953-1." Number on verso and zipper have been restored. A few spots of age, but overall this is one of the nicest fifty-year old jerseys we've seen.
