1960s Baltimore Orioles Heavy Wool Jacket

1960s Baltimore Orioles Heavy Wool Jacket

The visual impact of this classic Orioles jacket from five decades ago in undeniable. It is among the first generation of the team's jackets after the St. Louis Browns moved to Baltimore in '54 and was probably worn by the distinguished Paul Richards, who served as Oriole manager and GM until the early '60s. Black zippered jacket with heavy wool exterior. "Orioles" is scrawled in script style across the chest. Orange elastic trim around the shoulders, leather trim on pocket tops. Spalding label with size 46 and [size] "12" sewn in. Splendid memorabilia from a time when hardy men wore hardy jackets.
