1980 Les Auge 1980 Olympics Team USA Game Worn Jersey
What an amazing find! The greatest moment in US hockey history took place in February of 1980 and the underdog US hockey squad defeated the Russians and went on to take the gold in the “Miracle On Ice”. Brilliant blue mesh uniform made by Norcon, tagged at the waist and again in the collar. This is the number “2” jersey issued to Les Auge for the Olympic tournament and differs from the pre-tournament uniforms as the USA on the front is arched rather than diagonal. Although Auge appears in the official Olympic team photo, he did not record any ice time as he was the last member cut from the roster. Regardless, these real Team USA 1980 Miracle On Ice uniforms are highly prized by the members of the gold medal team and none have been offered into the hobby.
