Awesome Collection of Sharpshooting & Military Medals, Badges & Patches from 1908 Gold Medal Olympian (140+ pieces)
From William B. Martin, 1908 Olympic medalist on the U.S. rifle team, veteran of two wars (Spanish American & WWI) and New Jersey's political scene. Gorgeous group of his sharpshooting and military medals and regalia, most date from the 1890s-1910s. Some incredible sharpshooting medals in gold, silver and bronze. Several NRA, expert rifleman, several Sea Girt tournaments, and finest of all in gold his 1900-08 Expert Rifleman, 1908 Camp Perry Rifle Champion and an incredible World Record (these three in gold). Many great cloth patches including both sharpshooting and military including Spanish American War and WWI. Some of the patches include 1902 NRA US vs Canada and 1902 Great Britain/US/Canada. There are some fraternal medals (Elks & Masons), GAR, bowling (224 highest score). And do not forget, an extremely rare 1908 Olympics stuffed patch we have not seen before. Incredible stuff!
