Charles M. Conlon New York Yankee Photos from the "Baseball Magazine" Archive (9)

Stunning images of the Murderer's Row New York Yankees by Charles Martin Conlon, the greatest baseball photographer of the 20th century. Wonderfully posed in pinstripes all, with the early days of Yankee Stadium backgrounds to most. The heft of those teams is here: Bill Dickey, Frank Crosetti, George Pipgras, Eddie Wells, Henry Johnson, Lyn Lary, Red Ruffing, Johnny Allen, and Herb Pennock. The facial detail is stunning as is the fluid movement of the action shots. Pennock has pinholes, otherwise these are in stunning EX-MT condition and overall measure 8.5x6.5". All are from the archives of "Baseball Magazine," THE baseball publication of the 20th century, and from the Christie's Auction of this groundbreaking publication arranged by the late Don Flanagan, with their holograms on the backs as well as the signatures and handwriting of Charles M. Conlon.
