Zeppelin Von Hindenburg Collection with Burned Skin (4)

Zeppelin Von Hindenburg Collection with Burned Skin (4)

A part of the genuine fabric envelope of the doomed Zepplin, this small piece of charred "skin" is quite the piece of American history and was recovered by J. J. Kleman and is signed by him. Also included in this lot is a letter flown on the doomed ships last trip, previous to the Lakehurst crash, the infamous Alabama forged date of crash cover and the front page of a April 6, 1961 Venice Gondolier featuring an article on Commander W. A. Buckley who was the head of the ground crew when the Hindenburg blew up. The article is signed by Buckley himself in mint blue ball point pen. This is an amazing lot for afficionados of the Hindenburg and its associated history.
