The earliest team photo of this thriving Winter League club, from the year they were founded. Shown is all time Negro League legend, Josh Gibson (manager), as well as Billy Bird & Dick Seay. The Crabbers were the most successful Winter League team of the 1950’s, boasting such legendary players as Roberto Clemente & Willie Mays during that era. Lasorda, R. Jackson, Bob Gibson, Cepeda & T. Perez are also a part of the storied history of this WL franchise. Postcard photo is one of 8 in a set of the 8 Winter League teams. Extremely scarce. Some staining on back and some light crazing on front, which is only visible upon close examination. Otherwise VG. Very slightly restored.
